We started Citeya after watching the same failure mode play out across content teams we worked with: AI drafting tools made publishing faster, but the drafts routinely needed a full editorial pass just to check whether the facts, stats, and quotes inside them were real. That gap between "fast" and "trustworthy" is the entire reason Citeya exists — sourcing isn't a bolt-on feature, it's the first thing the system does before a single sentence of the draft is written.

Sources are gathered before a single sentence is drafted. Citeya searches recent news and web results for your topic, keywords, and category, then requests every candidate URL and drops any that no longer resolve, so a citation never points at a dead or non-existent page. The remaining sources are ordered so primary sources (original research, official data, the organisation's own statement) come before coverage of them. The draft is then written from those sources, with instructions to cite them inline, copy each URL exactly, and never invent a quote, statistic, or source. Afterwards each cited sentence is compared with its source, and any claim the source doesn't clearly support is flagged. Those checks work from titles and snippets, so they can't confirm that a source is current enough for the topic or that its full text says what the sentence claims. That is the reviewer's job, and we recommend a careful editorial pass before publishing anything that touches health, finance, or legal advice (what search-quality guidelines call "Your Money or Your Life" content). The point is that you start from real, checkable sources instead of a blank page.
